⁉️ What do you know about dataflow?

DataFlow is the process of verifying the validity of certificates for all health practitioners who have certificates from outside of the Kingdom or other countries than the practitioner’s home country. If you are a doctor, nurse, or other health specialization, you will need Data Flow, and this is done by contacting the authority issuing the certificate in cooperation with an international company for this purpose ((DATA FLOW) ) and specialized in this through its branches all over the world.

⁉️ How long does it take the verification of certificates ?

The documentation process takes between 22 days to a month, depending on the source of the certificate and the practitioner’s cooperation in completing the requirements.

⁉️ What is the purpose of data flow and why is it necessary to travel and work abroad?

It is to create a safe health practice that is not tainted by any forgery, distortion, or the like. It is considered one of the basic criteria for accreditation by local and international bodies for hospitals and health facilities to obtain practitioners who are able to practice the health profession efficiently and in a safe manner.

There are different documents are required for different country for dataflow verification
For Saudi Arabia, Dataflow requirements are as follows:
1) A clear and uncut copy of the passport
2) A valid email address and contact number
3) A copy of the master’s degree with a clear and uncut transcript.
4) A valid registration card / Syndicate card / license to practice the profession/ Board Certificate .

You may need to sign an additional documents Name_Change_Endorsement_Letter  for name change

Note: For the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, the two documents mentioned above (Master’s Certificate and Syndicate Certificate) are recommended for verification through Dataflow, but in some cases the employee (SCFHS) may request verification of additional documents such as the basic certificate (Bachelor’s degree and experience certificate from the home country) .

⁉️ What is the cost of verification through Dataflow company for the state of Oman ?

For any other country, there are different fees for Physician and No physician. Therefore, if you are applying yourself, the verification fee through dataflow company for Physician is 155.25 Omani Riyal, and the external service provider may charge 10 Omani Rial, additional charge as service fee. So total amount is 165.25 Omani Rial which is equivalent to 1635 Saudi Riyal approximately
And the verification fee for nonphysician (Nurse) for Bachelor degree holder is 126.5 Omani Rial, and the service fee 10.0 Omani Rial. Therefore total amount is 135.0 Omani Rial which is equivalent to 1340 Saudi Riyal. and for Diploma certificate holder nurses total fee is 125.0 Omani Rial equivalent to 1240 Saudi Riyal.
Note : All above is for new applicant who has no previous verification record through dataflow company in any regulatory health authority, and there are different fees for different options was not mentioned which is rarely used for exceptional cases. ⁉️ Reasons for rejection new qualification study

The qualification presented to the Saudi Commission for Health specialties for the first time will be reviewed by specialized and impartial professional committees and councils to determine the eligibility of the qualification holder to apply for professional classification or re-classification. The requirements listed below represent the acceptable level of information needed by these committees and councils to review the qualification. Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) strongly advise the applicants to submit a complete application supported by the official documents listed in the requirements list. It is your responsibility to provide the requirements. Not doing so will likely lead to the rejection of your application.

Common reasons of rejection:
– There is no relationship between the qualification and the required specialization.
– A program manual or a link to it is not attached.
– The program does not qualify for professional practice in the chosen specialty according to the program manual or the donor site.
– The program guide or the issuing authority website does not contain the required information.
– Subjects/courses are not sufficient to practice the specialty according to the internationally recognized standards.
– There is no description of the training done by the qualification holder.
– This training is insufficient to practice the specialty according to internationaly recognized standards.
– There is no indication that the qualification is recognized for professional practice in the country of graduation.

⁉️ What is the difference between Registration, Classification, Qualification Study and Certificate Recognition?

Professional Classification: Granting the appropriate Professional degree to the healthcare practitioner based on a sequential procedure that includes studying and authenticating qualifications and experiences, and Professional evaluation. It is the first step for the practitioner to be able to apply for the Professional Registration Service. It is possible to apply for the Service from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Professional Registration: saving detailed data of the healthcare practitioner in the Commission’s database, which comes after the Professional Classification Service, so that the healthcare practitioner can practice the profession regularly in the Kingdom. It requires a lawful residence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The validity of the Registration is two years. Recognition Decision: It is the acceptance of a qualifying program of no less than one academic year, obtained by the practitioner and based on its approval by bodies acceptable to the Commission. Qualification Study: to study the healthcare qualification by the competent councils and committees in the event that the qualification is not among the approved qualifications and is not included in the list of qualifications on Mumaris Plus.

⁉️ What is the difference between Professional Classification and Professional Re-Classification?

Professional Classification: the first legal step before registering as a healthcare practitioner in SCFHS. Re-Classification: To modify Classification data for promotion, such as the professional degree or changing the specialty.

⁉️ What is the appropriate service for me to apply for? Classification, Registration, Qualification Study, or Certificate Recognition?

(When applying for the first time) from inside or outside the Kingdom, you must select the Professional Classification Service through Mumaris Plus system. In the event that the qualification is not included in the list of recognized qualifications, you should apply for the Qualification Study Service, and then the Professional Classification is obtained. After that, you should submit an application for the Professional Registration Service before starting your work in the Kingdom. As for the Certificate Recognition Service, obtaining a Professional Classification is necessary to apply for the Certificate Recognition Service (for qualifying programs of no less than one academic year). ⁉️ I do not have a Registration in my country . What is the procedure to take?

In the event that there is no official body for Professional Registration, there must be attached an official letter issued by the Ministry of Health in the applicant’s country, by which he practiced work before coming to the Kingdom. In this case, it is sufficient to authenticate the experience letter from the accredited authentication company.

⁉️ Can I apply for Professional Classification service from outside the Kingdom?

Yes; The healthcare practitioner can apply for the Professional Classification and Professional Re-Classification Services from outside the Kingdom through Mumaris Plus system. It does not require obtaining a valid work permit inside the Kingdom during the first stage of application.

⁉️ There is a delay in the issuance of qualification Dataflow final report. Is it possible to apply for Classification and attach the report later when it is issued?

You can refer to Dataflow Company, where it is necessary to attach the final report for authentication.

⁉️ Is volunteering experience acceptable?

Yes, voluntarily experience is accepted if it is in the same specialty and authenticated by a reference body acceptable to the SCFHS and in a way that makes it equal to the actual Professional practice.

⁉️ I am classified and registered, but I got new experience from outside the Kingdom. Do I need to retake the classification test, knowing that my professional registration is still valid?

It is necessary to apply for the Professional Re-classification service, with the need to attach an experience from outside the Kingdom that proves that the practice has not been discontinued for two years or more, and it is necessary to retake the professional license exam.

⁉️ How is the professional practice oral examination conducted?

The professional practice oral examination consists of 1 to 4 stations, each station has an examiner that will assess your clinical/practical performance using cases ,the test time is from 20 to 90 minutes at most. The whole encounter will require you to dedicate the day for the examination as it involves other candidates.

⁉️ I would like to renew the registration, as it has been more than a year since the expiry of my registration and I have not stopped practicing the profession. What is the correct service for that? *

If the experience is from inside the Kingdom, you can apply for the (Professional Registration) service. In the event that the experience is from outside the Kingdom, you need to apply for the (professional re-classification) service, and after issuing a new classification, you can apply for the (professional registration) service

⁉️ Is it possible to renew the Registration with a restriction in the previous Registration card?

It is possible if the restriction does not conflict with the renewal. Example: If the work restriction is in the government sector and the practitioner is working in the same government sector, he can renew.

⁉️ I am M.Pharm Graduate from India and currently in Jeddah. How to apply for Prometric ?

To write an exam there are several steps you need to go through
1) First of all Dataflow for M. Pharm and valid Registration Council.
2) After that you will apply for Classification request through mumaris
3) Once Saudi Commission accept your request, you will redirected for Prometric exam
4) After writing an exam, it will take approximately 30 days to appear the result and you submit for registration if you are living inside Saudi Arabia.
If you are outside of KSA, you must find a job visa and iqama within 360 days, otherwise you need to write exam again.
